What You'll Do As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a key role in building and integrating custom mechanical systems from the ground up. Working from detailed drawings and schematics, you'll assemble high-quality equipment, install system components, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical systems according to customer specifications and production drawings. Install and connect pneumatic, hydraulic, and coolant systems using technical schematics. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Document assembly processes and maintain accurate project records. Collaborate with engineering, machine assembly teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Support project planning by assisting with timeline estimates and reviewing completed work to improve future forecasting. Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards Preferred Qualifications Full mechanical assembly experience, preferably in CNC machinery or custom equipment manufacturing. Experience performing electrical wiring from diagrams and schematics. Experience with precision measuring equipment and quality verification processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
