Mechanical Assembler Job Description The role of the Mechanical Assembler is to build production machines and fixtures from the ground up in our R D center. This pre-production center ensures that everything made at this facility is transferred to the larger production facility. Assemblers will have a direct team lead to guide them through the assembly steps, ensuring that each unit is built with precision and care. Responsibilities Build production machines and fixtures from scratch. Assemble components that are 8-10 feet long and 4-5 feet tall, comprising up to 75 parts. Use hand and power tools to complete assemblies. Assist in tightening bolts and placing parts correctly. Operate forklifts to move components as needed. Work under the guidance of a team lead to ensure accurate assembly. Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude from manufacturing or personal experience. Detail-oriented approach to assembly tasks. Basic math skills to assist in assembly processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with forklifts is preferred, though not required. Must possess steel or composite-toed shoes for safety. Why Work Here? Employees are required to wear steel toes, safety glasses, and appropriate PPE, enjoying a quiet and efficient setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, IN.
