Job Description

Summary:
A CNC Attendant is to produce quality parts as quickly and efficiently as possible
Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading machines to produce parts that represent the output of the machine shop. Individual will remove any unwanted pieces with necessary hand tools then move parts to the deburring station. This step helps promote the flow of parts coming out of the machine shop and is important for shop efficiency. Accountable for efficiency to produce parts to support the work cell setter. • May make limited decisions regarding his/her own work. Works in strict adherence to guidelines. Deviations must be authorized by supervisor. Keep the area clean to support the 5S objectives. Must have the ability to read blueprints and understand the assembly process. Measure and inspect parts as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent • Previous machining experience is preferred. • Must possess basic computer knowledge. Must have a technical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical principles. The ability to communicate openly in a team environment Strong attention to detail along with organizational and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks daily. Work Conditions This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear, is required. Employees are expected to follow all company environmental, health, and safety policies. Physical Demands Stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday. Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements using hand tools. Lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance. Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and twist. Ability to distinguish small defects and accurately read measuring instruments. Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, oils, coolants, and metal particles while wearing required personal protective equipment.
