HORIBA Automotive is searching for a Mechanical Assembler to work out of our Ann Arbor, MI office. This person will assemble and/or fits together parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or on the floor.

KEY RESPONSIBLIES

Works from detailed assembly drawings and specifications; plans layouts using flowcharts; identifies and obtains necessary parts and components from stockroom. Installs mechanical components; forms and connects stainless steel tubing using hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures. Performs leak checks and other necessary tests.

SKILL REQUIRED

Incumbent typically has a high school diploma, certification from a technical school or equivalent experience. Requires general assembly experience and knowledge of assembly techniques and procedures, including tube bending and leak testing; knowledge of mechanical drawing, shop practices and shop mathematics beneficial. Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and specifications.
