Job Overview:

The Mechanical Assembler I plays a vital role in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment within a shop environment. They are responsible for ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and quality standards while utilizing a variety of tools and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform assembly and finishing operations on mechanical parts according to product specifications and engineering drawings Prepare parts for painting and preservation and execute painting operations. Conduct functional tests as required and maintain a neat and organized work area. Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and report any discrepancies or safety concerns. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repairs. Ability to work in a production environment and perform physical tasks. Willingness to work with noise, dust, and liquids typically present in a production environment. Ability to occasionally work with computer equipment and use personal protective equipment. Willingness to work multiple shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience with hand tools and operation of pneumatic and hydraulic tools. Valid driver's license.
