Generator Technician We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team in Canfield, Ohio. You will be diagnosing, repairing, and servicing various sizes of generators and related equipment. This role offers a mix of in-field troubleshooting and in-shop mechanical work. Hours:

8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through

Friday Pay:

$20.00 - $5.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose issues by measuring velocity, horsepower, rpm, amperage, circuitry, and voltage using testing devices
• Record repairs, parts used, and labor time accurately
• Reassemble and repair electric motors, generators, and related parts
• Rewire electrical systems and replace electrical accessories
• Inspect electrical connections, wiring, relays, and batteries following wiring diagrams
• Read service manuals for repair information
• Test and locate damage or worn components
• Solder, coat, and insulate wires effectively
• Assemble electrical parts following schematics
• Lubricate and replace defective mechanical components
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance and repairs
• Lift and move heavy equipment using cranes, chain hoists, or forklifts
• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment safely
• Communicate with team members to coordinate repairs and installations
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems for defects and wear

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a technician position with relevant schooling
• Ability to attend and successfully complete manufacturer training classes
• Capable of passing certification classes such as Generac Certified Warranty repairs
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Proactive problem solver Nice to

Have Skills:

• Plumbing or plumbing-related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Relevant technical schooling or certifications
• Experience working with generators or related mechanical/electrical equipment

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to attend overnight training as needed
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles
• Ability to work on-site and be comfortable in customer environments
• Physically capable of lifting and operating heavy equipment
