We specialize in electric motor repair, rewinding, pump repair, generator service, and comprehensive field maintenance for commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Winder to join our motor repair shop. In this hands-on role, you will perform full rewinding and rebuilding of AC and DC electric motors ranging from fractional horsepower to large industrial units. Key Responsibilities Rewind single-phase, three-phase, and DC electric motors Strip, clean, and prepare motor cores and windings Install new windings, insulation, and varnish Perform electrical testing (hi-pot, surge, megger, etc.) Diagnose motor failures and recommend repair vs. replacement Maintain detailed repair documentation Occasionally perform field service work Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience rewinding electric motors Strong knowledge of motor winding techniques, insulation systems, and materials Ability to read and interpret winding diagrams and schematics Experience with both random and form coil windings is preferred Familiarity with AC and DC motors up to 500+ HP Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Valid driver's license (CDL a plus) Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience ($28-$45/hr) Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Overtime opportunities Stable, family-owned company with long-term career growth Supportive team environment and modern shop facilities
