Based in Dallas, TX, this contract-to-hire opportunity involves the construction, fitting, and mounting of mechanical parts and sub-units for data center enclosures. You will be expected to execute precise instructions, analyze technical schematics, and guarantee that every build adheres to rigorous safety and quality benchmarks. Beyond assembly, this position involves conducting light repairs and providing support for production-related problem-solving.

Role Details:

We are currently hiring for two shifts, both offering overtime opportunities. The first shift operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM at a rate of $20/hr. The second shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM at a rate of $21/hr.

Core Responsibilities:

Analyze and utilize technical diagrams, assembly guides, and material lists to guide your work. Construct mechanical parts, frames, panels, and brackets to meet exact project requirements. Execute mechanical tasks such as drilling, tapping, fastening, and aligning components to ensure structural integrity. Operate power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment with a focus on safety. Mount hinges, rails, hardware, and support systems into various enclosures. Ensure all parts are placed accurately and within specified tolerances using measurement tools. Help prepare and organize materials to streamline the production workflow. Perform necessary adjustments or minor fabrication to align with engineering designs. Spot and document any quality issues or non-compliant materials to prevent production delays. Provide support for rework and troubleshooting to help the team maintain high output standards. Complete all necessary work orders and production logs with high accuracy. Guarantee that every finished assembly aligns with customer needs and internal quality benchmarks. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by following all safety protocols. Work alongside engineers and fellow staff to ensure all project deadlines are met. Support the team by organizing workstations and managing material inventory.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a GED or high school diploma is mandatory, with vocational or technical schooling viewed as a plus. Ideally, you possess one to three years of background in industrial or manufacturing assembly. Demonstrated capacity to comprehend and apply technical blueprints and assembly documentation. Proven proficiency in the operation of torque tools, power tools, and hand tools. Strong mechanical inclination paired with a meticulous eye for quality and detail. Prior exposure to metal fabrication or electrical enclosure environments is highly desirable. Physical capability to stand for long durations and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and effective problem-solving. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting while working with minimal supervision.
