Job Description

Mechanical Assembler-$18-20/hr Job Description This role focuses on assembling mechanical power units used in oil field applications and data centers. You will install metal panels, tubing systems, and related components, and work closely with the electrical team to ensure each unit is assembled correctly and safely. You will use blueprints, hand tools, and power tools to complete assemblies to specification and support a high-quality production environment. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical power units for use in oil field operations and data centers according to engineering specifications and production standards. Install metal panels, tubing systems, and other mechanical components onto power units with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate closely with the electrical department to verify that final assemblies meet all mechanical and electrical requirements. Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to perform accurate mechanical assembly work. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform cutting, fastening, fitting, and adjustment tasks. Measure and align components using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and function. Handle and assemble large and heavy equipment components in a safe and controlled manner. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications, and report any issues or defects. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and care of tools and equipment. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working both inside the shop and around production equipment. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly. Proven experience assembling large or heavy equipment components. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. Proficient use of hand tools and power tools in a production or assembly environment. Ability to use a tape measure and other basic measuring instruments accurately. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic mechanical systems. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical personnel. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work safely around mechanical equipment and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Background assembling equipment for industrial, oil field, or data center applications. Comfort working with both metal panels and tubing systems. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including working with large and heavy components. Work Environment You work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment that includes both indoor areas and work inside and around large truck-like units. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Granbury, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
