Mechanical Assembler Job Description The Mechanical Assembler will perform mechanical assembly on pump mounted skid packages. The role requires reading blueprints and operating hand tools. You will work alongside lead mechanics, assist with cleaning the shop, hauling tools, and assembling skid mounted pump packages. Responsibilities Perform mechanical assembly on pump mounted skid packages. Read and interpret blueprints. Operate hand tools and power tools. Assist lead mechanics with shop cleaning and tool hauling. Assemble skid mounted pump packages. Requirements 5+ years of experience in skid assembly Proficiency in performing shaft alignments. Experience with tape measures and levels. Skillful in using hand tools and power tools. Possession of own basic hand tools, including 3-inch and quarter wrenches. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a manufacturing setting with fabrication, welding, and assembly activities. While the shop is clean, it is not climate controlled. Work involves mounting pumps and compressors on skids across various work stations equipped with forklifts, overhead cranes, and assembly and welding areas. The role is primarily day shift from 5:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours and weekend shifts as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
