Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Upfitter, where you will play a vital role in customizing and assembling trucks to meet specific customer needs. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of tools and materials, transforming standard vehicles into specialized work trucks. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, durable products that meet safety standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing documents to assemble truck components accurately Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and machining equipment such as CNC lathes to modify and assemble parts Conduct dimensional measurements with calipers and other precision instruments to ensure components meet blueprint specifications Perform welding tasks adhering to safety standards and quality control protocols to secure structural elements Assemble mechanical systems using schematics, mechanical knowledge, and assembly instructions Conduct quality control inspections to identify defects or deviations from specifications and rectify issues promptly Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols during all manual handling activities Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and production document comprehension Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical assembly and machining processes Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, calipers, and CNC lathe machinery Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately and interpret technical drawings effectively Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence Experience with welding techniques and mechanical repairs or mechanic work is highly desirable Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding technical specifications This role offers an engaging environment where your technical skills will be valued and developed.
