Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:

• Set up winding machinery for operation
• Assemble units according to three-view drawings or blueprints using coils, bobbins, cores, brackets, terminals, bolts, washers, nuts, insulation, magnetic laminations, enclosures, etc. using hand and power hand tools
• Tape units, as necessary
• Load and change spools of wire and coils
• Test assembled units and verify units meet all electrical and mechanical specifications
• Weld and solder copper and steel
• Hand solder wire to terminals
• Assemble core legs
• Label products as appropriate
• Follow all policies, procedures, and Expectations
• Computer keyboard entry of all necessary production data

Requirements For Mechanical Assembler:

• 2 years of steady work experience is preferred
• Assembler has the option of standing or sitting (where permitted) while assembling units, typically on an anti-fatigue mat
• Be able to lift to 80lbs
• up to 6 times per hour
• Must be capable of receiving, understanding, and giving clear, concise instructions in English, both orally and in written form
• Must be well organized, be capable of effectively achieving deadlines with minimal direct supervision and be willing to work in a team environment BrownDeer@qpsemployment.
