Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join a dynamic team dedicated to designing and manufacturing conveyor systems that ensure consumer packaged goods are moved more efficiently and reliably. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in preparing and assembling components by studying assembly instructions and positioning parts and subassemblies according to drawings. Responsibilities Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by following assembly instructions and drawings. Assemble components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies. Verify specifications by measuring completed conveyor sections. Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance procedures. Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret a tape measure. Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools. Ability to retain information regarding standard assembly/disassembly procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in mechanical assembly or interpreting blueprints is preferred. Work Environment Work the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. You will be part of a climate-controlled shop, contributing to a team of 80 to 90 full-time employees, including all shifts and office personnel. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Oconto, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
