In addition to the role itself, employees choose this opportunity because of: Family-owned and operated leadership with a long-term commitment to employees A stable work environment supported by a diverse customer base across multiple industries Excellent benefits, including direct primary care at no cost, free diagnostic testing, and select surgical procedures No employee premiums for dental or vision coverage Structured onboarding and internal training programs that support skill development and long-term career growth A safety-first, team-oriented culture built on consistency, respect, and professionalism Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including the following; additional duties may be assigned as needed) Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner Assemble large custom-built equipment, weldments, and fabricated components according to blueprints and work instructions Read and interpret intermediate-level blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications to determine proper fit, alignment, and assembly sequence Perform mechanical fitting and assembly requiring accurate layout, alignment, and positioning of components Work to tight tolerances including press fits, slip fits, and precision alignment of mechanical parts Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and levels to verify dimensions and fit Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and other mechanical assembly tools safely and effectively Verify parts and components prior to assembly to ensure accuracy and completeness Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to position and move components during assembly Perform torch heating, minor welding, or fitting work when required to achieve proper alignment and fit Plan and organize work to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve fit-up, alignment, or assembly issues Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition Follow drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience required Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical fitting, heavy assembly, or custom fabrication environment Intermediate blueprint reading skills required Experience assembling large equipment, weldments, or custom machinery preferred Experience working with tight tolerances, fits, and mechanical alignment required Experience using precision measuring instruments required Physical Demands The employee is required to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Job duties require frequent walking, reaching, bending, and use of hands and arms during assembly work. The position may require moving or transferring materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand-up equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
