We're a locally owned trophy and engraving shop in Meridian, dedicated to helping schools, teams, businesses, and individuals celebrate their biggest moments. From custom plaques and sports trophies to personalized engraved gifts, we pride ourselves on exceptional attention to detail, friendly customer service, and quick turnaround times. We're a small business looking for a new team member to grow with us! Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Trophy Shop Associate and Engraving Specialist. This hands-on role involves a blend of creative work, graphic design, building awards and direct customer interaction. You'll be responsible for operating engraving machines, assembling awards, and working directly with customers to bring their recognition ideas to life. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training , making this an excellent opportunity to learn a unique trade. Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain engraving machines (laser, etc.) and their associated software. (Training Provided) Design and format text and layouts for a wide array of products including plaques, trophies, medals, and gifts. (Training Provided) Assemble awards and trophy components with precision, attention to detail and care. Greet and assist customers in-store, by phone, and via email, providing excellent customer service. Assist with order intake, accurate pricing, and diligent proofreading of customer information. Navigate computer interfaces for order writing, inventory lookups, and customer information management. Perform light shipping, receiving, and packaging duties. Maintain accurate inventory of stock items and supplies. Regularly check emails and manage phone calls. Ensure workstations are clean and organized. Occasionally assist with graphic design work (training provided). Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient typing skills Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating various computer interfaces (e.g., Windows, Microsoft Office, email, file management). Exceptional attention to detail and strong spelling/grammar skills. Eager to learn new things and adapt to evolving processes. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools. Ability to stand for extended periods. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Preferred & Useful Skills:
Experience with engraving, signage, awards, or retail. Familiarity with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational abilities. A quick learner with a self-motivated approach. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Problem-solving aptitude. Why Join Us?
