PT Tech prides itself on producing high quality parts with short lead times that exceed our customers' expectations. We foster a culture of personal growth and maintain an open door policy at all levels of our organization. We are looking for an experienced Laser Operator/Programmer. These positions work a day shift with a starting time of 5am or 6am and working until 2:30pm or 3:30pm. Weekend work is on an as needed basis. Overtime pay is over 40 hours and double time on Sunday. Hourly pay starts at $18 for an entry level person.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Utilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements. 2. Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. 3. Program and maintain current file revisions of all client part. 4. Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/CAM software. 5. Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing. 6. Maintains the Laser, schedules and reports any maintenance issues. Maintains required spare parts inventory for laser's. 7. Consults with management to resolve manufacturing or assembly problems. 8. Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of production when and where needed.
Education/Experience:
Generally requires High School Diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years industry experience. Basic computer skills, along with strong attention to detail. Knowledgeable of the properties of materials and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and tooling. Experience with Trumph lasers and TruTops software is a plus. Ability to understand G Codes including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot program and machine issues is preferred. Ability to efficiently integrate existing methods with new innovation to economically solve production problems in a timely manner.
