Director of Fabrication Job Summary Unless specifically mentioned, the responsibilities listed throughout this job description pertain to all non-Ram work cells in the Fabrication department (i.e., rivet, grommet, RF weld, laser, pack, etc.). The primary responsibility of this role is to produce quality parts and pieces according to work order requirements and production schedules. The Utility Operator should strive to meet company goals and objectives and perform required quality measurements/checks. This position has no direct supervisory duties. Be Honest - Improve - Innovate Essential Duties Adhere to all safety requirements to operate fabrication equipment as trained. Follow work order job specifications and process directions. Identify and gather necessary materials as required by work order. Monitor product quality as required by work order and process. Perform minor machine adjustments as trained. Complete documentation accurately/neatly. Ensure finished products meet aesthetic requirements per product specification and training. (i.e.: Remove scuffs and marks, remove slugs, trim frays, etc.). Report on production in Priority software.

Packing:

follow packing instructions on work order, calculate count, and act as final product inspector. In some situations, packing is completed in-line. Packing may also include steps such as date stamp, bag product, heat seal, and print label. Must be able to work overtime. A clean and organized work area is expected. Immediately report any safety issue or accident/injury. Treat coworkers as you would want to be treated. Have reliable attendance and punctuality. Perform basic math and some conversions. Actions and communications should contribute to a productive team environment. This role frequently uses factory equipment such as riveter, grommet machine, RF welder, punch press machine, straight-edge cutter, box cutter and tape gun. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and building can be loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Fine motor manipulation, gripping, and repetition motions required. The lifting requirement is 50 lbs. The employee is frequently/constantly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, product defects, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
