Starting Pay:
$15.50 (after 30 days $16 / about 4 months $16.75•17.00) Piedmont / Pelzer, SC Area•PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Weaver on behalf of our client in Piedmont, SC. We are searching for an experienced, dependable & knowledgeable Weaver. As a Weaver, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring a set of industrial weaving machines / looms, to produce various webbing products. This is a factory-floor position that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and an understanding of textile weaving functions. Weaver Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot and adjust settings or repair/replace parts on loom if flagged, and document corrective actions. Changing filling in loom (replacing empty quill with full quill), and replacing broken yarn ends as they occur. Patrolling and inspecting webbing for misdraws, mis-reeds, and quality. Re-threads shuttle at filling out. Flags any and all defects. Responsible for production, efficiency, and quality on assigned looms. Returns empty quills from loom to bobbin filling station. Ensures sufficient supply of filling at loom. Weaver flags and stops off loom for fixer when broke down or making defective material. Watches warps and marks loom number on warp out sheet when warp comes off. Records information on loom down time sheet when loom is stopped for warp out, breakdown, no mill order, or style change. Checks looms for warp tension. Performs width, camber, thickness checks as required and records on proper forms. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Use proper safety equipment and follow safety procedures. Understand and follow quality policy and work instructions. Weaver Qualifications Experience as a Weaver is (preferred) Experienced Sewers or Textile workers Regular, predictable, reliable attendance is required.
Attention to detail:
Good vision and focus to spot irregularities and defects in the woven product.
Manual dexterity:
Good hand-eye coordination for repairing and threading looms.
Mechanical aptitude:
Basic understanding of weaving machinery and the ability to troubleshoot minor problems.
Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Work ethic:
Punctual and reliable, with a willingness to learn on the job.•Join Us. Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $15.50•$16.00 Per Hour
