Our employees enjoy a first-shift schedule in a clean, climate-controlled environment. In the Pressroom, Operators are responsible for setting up a Press Cell, by following the work order to ensure the correct die(s), trim tool, and metal (ie, brass, bronze, nickel-silver, etc) are used for each job, and set the Press up accordingly. From there, the Operator must press the metal monitor product quality while striking or "stamping" the metal, maintaining production rates once trained, then transferring completed product to the next department and logging the job into our ERP system. When a new job is ready to be run, the Operator must perform machine changeovers between jobs. OSHA rules and regulations must be followed which include foot, eye and hearing protection, along with keeping workstation clean and organized. Ideal candidates would have a high school diploma or GED, with recent manufacturing experience preferred, specifically in machine operation. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and carry 15-25 pounds throughout the shift. Mechanical ability is helpful along with strong hand/eye coordination, an eye for detail and a self-starter to work hard! This is a full-time, in-person position with hours Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Employees enjoy first-shift hours along with on-the-job training, overtime opportunities, paid break, advancement potential, ability to earn more PTO during the year, recognition for hard work, and fun seasonal perks like summer food trucks.
