POSITION SUMMARY
Partner with leadership team to execute strategy and initiatives by providing financial and operational analysis, guidance and support. Primary responsibility for the planning, implementing, managing, and controlling of all financial-related activities of Fielmann USA. Key contributor to the development and execution of the Fielmann USA strategic plan. Accountable for financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions, business development strategy and revenue management. Responsible for preparing financial statements in accordance with financial management and techniques appropriate to the retail health/retail optical industry. Lead decision support, cost accounting and oversight of disbursements processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGIC
DIRECTION
Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team. Assist executive team members in creating, growing, and building a world class, industry leading organization Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Finance team Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, financial management, and annual budget planning Support development of organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction Establish reporting, metrics, and deadlines to ensure that financial and organizational objectives are met Develop and foster relationships with functional leaders to review financial performance and the proper roll out of initiatives; be a change agent for retail strategies Consistently communicate strategic objectives across the organization to ensure alignment of priorities and resources Balance short-term and long-term focus in decision making and leadership of the Company's financial activities and in leadership of team.
EXECUTION
Drive Fielmann USA's accounting, budgeting, and financial planning Define and drive retail analytics across entire organization Provide stakeholders with financial reporting and analysis to include key center, clinical and manufacturing metrics Understand and direct creation of financial modeling tools to support new initiatives Benchmark retail operational and financial best practices Formulate, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and appropriate systems pertaining to budgeting, financial recordkeeping, controls and reporting to ensure effective management of resources Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting Interpret, explain, and apply local, state, and federal laws regulating financial accounting, reporting and recordkeeping, investment of funds and borrowing Ensure completion of appropriate financial reporting to the Executive team and Fielmann

Work closely with internal partners to achieve planned results Ensure effective communication of corporate strategies and expectations with Fielmann USA Finance and Accounting teams Coach, mentor and raise the team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent Effectively leverage and manage internal and external partners Lead across a matrixed organization that supports collaboration and partnership and eliminates silos
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA required; CPA highly desirable 10 years' experience required in leading accounting, budgeting, and financial planning for multi-unit retail; multi-unit retail optical Proven experience as CFO, finance director or equivalent role strongly preferred Superior analytical, organizational, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivates staff to exceed expectations Ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes Proven ability to lead and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives Ability to collaborate with all levels and areas of a large corporate organization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS
