The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finishing techniques, with the ability to produce high-quality finishes on various wood products. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying stains or sealants. Apply finishes using various techniques including spraying, brushing, or wiping. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on projects involving cabinet installation and restoration work. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed during the finishing process. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in wood finishing or related fields such as construction painting or the restoration industry. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and physical stamina for manual labor tasks. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
