Job Description
Plastic Welding Finisher Commerce City, CO | Full-Time TFI Inline Design is seeking a Plastic Welding Finisher to fabricate, weld, and finish custom polypropylene laboratory equipment, including benches, enclosures, tanks, and fluid handling components used in advanced laboratory and industrial environments. About Us TFI Inline Design is an affiliate of Elemental Scientific, Inc., a leader in laboratory automation and analytical instrumentation. TFI specializes in the design, fabrication, and assembly of custom polypropylene systems and chemical-resistant equipment for laboratories, semiconductor facilities, and industrial applications. Responsibilities Perform plastic welding and finishing operations on polypropylene (PP) components Fabricate and assemble custom laboratory benches, cabinets, enclosures, tanks, and fluidic systems Cut, shape, fit, and finish plastic materials using hand and power tools Operate hot air welding, extrusion welding, and related fabrication equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Sand, trim, deburr, and finish fabricated components to quality standards Inspect completed assemblies for appearance, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support production and custom manufacturing projects as needed Requirements Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, finishing, or a related hands-on trade Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Ability to read and follow basic drawings and work instructions Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and work in a production environment Reliable attendance and positive team-oriented attitude Preferred Qualifications Experience with plastic welding, polypropylene (PP), PVC, or other thermoplastics Experience with hot air welding or extrusion welding Background in custom fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production Experience building laboratory, chemical-resistant, or industrial equipment Forklift or shop equipment experience is a plus Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career growth opportunities within a growing manufacturing organization TFI Inline Design is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
