This position also involves operating professional dry-cleaning machinery and ensuring garments meet our quality standards throughout the cleaning process. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume dry-cleaning environment. Professional dry-cleaning and spotting experience is required, along with knowledge of different fabric types, stain-removal methods, spotting chemicals, and proper safety procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Inspect garments and identify stains prior to cleaning Pre-spot and post-spot garments using appropriate chemicals and techniques Identify different types of stains and determine the proper treatment Determine the appropriate cleaning and spotting method based on fabric, color, garment construction, and stain type Operate professional dry-cleaning machinery safely and efficiently Handle delicate, designer, couture, and specialty garments with proper care Inspect finished garments to ensure stains have been properly treated and our quality standards are met Recognize garments, fabrics, dyes, and trims that may require special handling Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked spotting and work area Work efficiently with other members of the production team to maintain workflow and quality
Qualifications:
Professional dry-cleaning and spotting experience is required Strong knowledge of fabrics, stains, spotting chemicals, and stain-removal techniques Experience operating commercial dry-cleaning equipment Ability to safely handle and care for high-end and delicate garments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good problem-solving skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team We are looking for an experienced Cleaner/Spotter who can step into the position and perform the job with minimal training. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands proper garment care, and consistently produces high-quality results.
