Position Summary The CNC Machine Shop Assistant supports daily machine shop operations by keeping parts, tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for production. This position is responsible for part cleaning and deburring, packaging finished parts, maintaining shop cleanliness, and ensuring the shop has adequate packing supplies. Essential Responsibilities Clean and inspect machined parts to remove chips, coolant, oil, and other debris. Deburr parts using appropriate hand tools and methods. Visually inspect parts for obvious defects, damage, or unfinished areas and report issues to the appropriate team member. Properly package finished parts according to company and customer requirements. Label and organize packaged parts for shipment or storage. Monitor inventory of boxes, bags, labels, tape, foam, and other packing materials. Order or request packing supplies as needed to maintain adequate inventory. Clean and maintain hand tools, shop equipment, and workstations. Keep floors, benches, machines, and common shop areas clean and organized. Properly dispose of metal chips, scrap, and other shop waste. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist machinists and other shop personnel with general tasks as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor or Manager. Qualifications Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is helpful but not required. Ability to use basic hand tools safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, quality work. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain an organized and clean work area. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and move boxes and parts as required. Desired Skills Basic understanding of CNC machining and shop operations. Familiarity with deburring and finishing machined parts. Good organizational and inventory-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Work Environment This position works in a CNC machine shop environment and may involve exposure to machine noise, metal chips, coolants, oils, and industrial equipment. Hard-Working Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
