About us Iowa Powder Craft is a small business that specializes in metal finishing and powder coating in Mason City, IA where we have about 15 employees. Powder coating is a type of coating applied as a free-flowing, dry powder . Unlike liquid paint, which uses a solvent, powder coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or UV light. It is commonly used on materials like steel, aluminum, and plastic. We DO NOT do wet paint only powder coating. Iowa Powder Craft is small in size and at this time we DO NOT have health, dental and vision benefits. We DO however offer all employees paid sick leave after 90 days and 40 hours of vacation after 1 year with the company. Iowa Powder Craft is growing and expanding and just moved to our larger facility in Mason City, IA. With our growth comes need for more employees. Iowa Powder Craft is a demanding and challenging company as we strive to be safe in everything we do while providing quality work to our customers. Iowa PowderCraft is a powder coating and media blasting company that works with a variety of products for our customers. We are looking for candidates who are motivated, hard-working, and willing to learn.
Duties:
Hanging product on racks correctly and safely Pretreating metal substrates so its clean and ready for powder application Cleaning metal with steel grit abrasive material to ensure metal is free of rust and any paint Ensuring product is labeled and stored safely and correctly Operate equipment safely and properly while wearing PPE required Operate hand tools and follow all safety for each hand tool Read workorders completely to determine work to be performed and plan work accordingly Clean work areas and equipment throughout the day Follow all company safety rules and regulations May need to assist in other areas as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Ability to work 32 hours up to 50 hours if needed each week
Experience:
Manufacturing experience is a plus but is not required. Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs regularly and work in differing weather conditions.
