Job Posting Title Contributor Qual Sup Applying Job Description Summary Support production, quality and engineering on current, products, PPAP and prototype production parts by providing metallurgical and information from test samples. Position is for third shift.
Job Description:
Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain productivity, quality, housekeeping, attendance and safety standards. Perform daily met lab duties per schedule and assist advanced/senior personnel. Clean and maintain cut-off-saw, lab equipment, lab accessories and general cleaning. Cut, mount, grind and polish lab samples as required. Identify heat treat process by microstructural examination with use of microscope. Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment. Approve steel certifications per GKN or customer specifications. Identify all microstructures in materials commonly used by GKN before and after heat treatment. Prepare PPAP samples and compare results with customer specifications. Use SAP to confirm lots that are accepted and to create requisitions. Perform basic Millipore cleanliness analysis on requested components. Work as a team member to ensure production quality Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager Required Skills and Education High School Diploma is required. 2 years experience in gear manufacturing or related process is preferable.
