_) Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blaster to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for blasting metal components. Your work ensures that products meet quality standards, have a durable finish, and are ready for assembly or shipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to producing high-quality blasting and powder coated finishing processes in a fast-paced environment while honing your skills in knowledge of types of media to use on various substrates as well! Responsibilities Remove rust and prepare metal parts and components for the next steps of cleaning and finishing. Operate sand blasting equipment, while following safety protocols. Read and follow work orders. Computer literacy and ability to learn our shop software. Blast precisely to achieve even, desired blasting profiles. Handle materials safely with forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, and/or other warehouse equipment to move parts throughout the production area. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning on blasting equipment and perform inspections to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with team to meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and minimize waste. Qualifications Previous experience in blasting metal parts is necessary. (1 year experience minimum) Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using blasting equipment. Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is a plus. Knowledge of blast medias and industrial blast equipment is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory tracking. Understanding of lean manufacturing practices to support continuous improvement initiatives. Job description:

BEPC is taking applications for a Blaster position. This is a 1st Shift position typically M-F 7am-3:30pm

WITH DAILY OVERTIME IF NECESSARY, DEPENDING ON WORKLOAD

(usually not much later than 5:30pm). There will be occasional Saturdays needed if we are really busy. We are a job shop, so parts and workload can vary, but we always strive for 40 hour work weeks. We are currently doing most of our blasting in our indoor facility, but outdoor blasting may be required at times. The position will include loading and unloading parts/pallets off truck and trailer, strapping and securing loads, driving to and from blast facilities, operating compressor(s) and forklift/ telehandler/ skid steer, blasting parts to customer standards required, tracking time on jobs, cleaning up work areas, and maintenance as required. INDUSTRIAL BLASTING EXPERIENCE IS

REQUIRED and pay is based on your experience. Attention to detail and ensuring our customers receive top quality work is expected. You will be expected to clean up your work area between jobs and daily as required and clean the shop areas routinely. Applicant must be able to be at work on time, show up every day, work in a team environment, and have a good work ethic. We expect employees to come to work to get the assigned jobs done efficiently. Hoover Rd Wichita, KS 67215. Applicant should have valid Driver's License and be able to drive truck and trailer back and forth between facilities. Blasting in blast cabinet and helping out in the shop (powder coat line load/unload & shop cleaning) are also required during slower blasting periods. You will be required to be E-verified and pass a drug screen.
