JOB DESCRIPTION

Artone LLC is seeking an experience individual to work in our Commercial Furniture Finishing Department. Looking for individuals to perform tasks in several different areas of the department from, Supervisor with extensive working knowledge, to entry level finishing experience in any other industry including but not limited to metal, autobody, signage, etc. Coordination of all products going through the Finishing/Sanding Department. Ensure all processes and procedures that are set by management are followed. Required to follow schedule set by Mill room Supervisor. Review workloads and schedules with Mill room Supervisor daily. Required to keep the department clean, orderly and safe on a continual base. Required to match colors and finishes to customer specifications or samples. Responsible to have all color matches approved by Mill room Supervisor. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain and clean spray equipment, spray booth, and finishing area regularly. Work with Engineering/Purchasing Dep. to ensure that the proper materials/quantities are being supplied. Maintain records of materials used and job completion details as required. Must have good record keeping of finishes to ensure the repeat ability of the colors. Monitor all finishing process to ensure customer satisfaction (Act as own Quality Control). Ensure that all sanding procedures are followed closely with finishing requirements. Provide all sample board requirements for Sales, Marketing, Project Management and Customers.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to achieve color consistency and color matches. Must have experience with stains, paints, lacquer, spray applied coatings Must have experience working with finishes for all types of woods and veneers. Prepare cabinet surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and masking as required. Mix and apply stains, sealers, paints, and topcoats using spray guns or flat line finishing equipment. Proficiency with spray equipment, sanding tools, and finishing techniques. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling finishes and chemicals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Must be able to follow all standard procedures required by OSHA, DEC and any other compliance organizations that effect the Finishing Departments ability to operate. Must be self-directed and exhibit self-sustained initiatives. Must have a high level of organizational skills. Work well in a team atmosphere.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum [1-3] years of experience in cabinet finishing, wood finishing, or related field.
