Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Grinder Operator / Material Handler to join our team. This role involves grinding parts with a hand grinder, organizing and stacking parts on skids, and moving them once the skids are loaded. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment, using a hand grinder to process parts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and utilizing a small crane as needed for heavier parts. This role will require attention to detail and the ability to flip parts to grind both sides.

Key Responsibilities:

Load table with parts at the start of each shift. Use a hand grinder to grind parts to specifications. Flip parts as necessary to grind both sides, ensuring quality and consistency. Place finished parts on skids and ensure they are properly organized and secure. Once skids are loaded, transport them to the appropriate location within the facility. Can utilize a small crane at each station for lifting heavier parts as needed. Ensure that all work is completed safely, adhering to company policies and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Assist with other tasks as required to support the workflow of the plant.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating hand grinders or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials safely. Familiarity with crane operation or willingness to learn. Good physical stamina and the ability to work for extended periods while standing or moving. Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. #indjackie
