Job Type:
Full-time Job Summary North Coast Cultured Products is seeking three dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our manufacturing team. We manufacture custom cultured-marble vanity tops, sinks, shower bases, wall panels and related products. Positions are available in different areas of the manufacturing process. Prior cultured-marble or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who show up on time, follow instructions and take pride in producing quality work. There is room to learn additional skills, take on greater responsibilities and grow with the company. Job Responsibilities Depending on the position and assigned production area, responsibilities may include: Reading work orders and verifying product measurements, colors and specifications
Preparing, cleaning and waxing molds
Assisting with the measuring, mixing and pouring of manufacturing materials
Demolding vanity tops, sinks, shower bases and wall panels
Trimming, sanding, grinding, polishing and finishing cultured-marble products
Using hand tools, power tools, sanders, grinders and polishing equipment
Inspecting finished products for surface imperfections, damage and accuracy
Completing minor repairs and touch-ups when needed
Moving, lifting and positioning molds, materials and finished products
Preparing completed products for storage, pickup or delivery
Following established production procedures and quality-control standards
Wearing required personal protective equipment and following all safety procedures
Keeping tools, equipment and work areas clean and organized
Working cooperatively with other members of the production team
Assisting in other areas of the plant as production needs require
Required Skills and Qualifications
Exceptional attention to detail
Dependable, punctual and ready to work at the scheduled start time
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to accurately read a tape measure
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to identify flaws, imperfections and inconsistencies in finished products
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools after training
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain consistent quality while completing repetitive production tasks
Willingness to follow safety, material-handling and quality-control procedures
Ability to communicate problems or production concerns promptly Experience in manufacturing, construction, countertops, fiberglass, auto-body work, woodworking, mold preparation, sanding, polishing or finishing is a plus but is not required. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and work on your feet for most of the shift
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull and perform repetitive movements
Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy molds, materials, sink tops, shower components and other finished products
Ability to perform team lifts when products are too large or heavy for one person
Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment while wearing required protective equipment
