A Finisher, Polisher, or Buffer cleans, sands and polishes materials such as wood, stone, plastic, or metal used in manufacturing processes. Performs finishing and polishing done at the final stages of production to prepare goods for consumers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Finisher to join our team for a full-time, in-person position. This is not an entry-level role — candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in grinding, polishing, and graining stainless steel surfaces post-welding. Applicants without this specific experience will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
Grind, polish, and grain stainless steel surfaces to a smooth, consistent finish following welding and fabrication Work on a wide variety of stainless-steel products, including but not limited to sheet metal components, tubing, custom tables, and HVAC systems Ensure finishes meet high-quality standards and customer specifications Operate hand tools, grinders, polishers, and other finishing equipment with precision and care Read and interpret blueprints, finish specifications, and production documentation Inspect completed work for accuracy and consistency in finish Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols Requirements -
Mandatory:
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in stainless steel finishing, including grinding, polishing, and graining post-weld Proven ability to work with a variety of stainless-steel forms (sheet metal, tubing, etc.) Strong attention to detail and consistency in finish work Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as part of the finishing process Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
