BACKGROUND
Since 1946 Pacific Propeller has been providing global repair and overhaul services to regional aircraft, as well as many of the world's military operators of large transport propeller aircraft. POSITION PURPOSE
Support the overhaul and repair of aircraft propeller systems to airworthiness. This includes evaluation, disassembly, inspection, and test per Manual, Service Bulletin and Directives and other duties in standard time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include some or all the following and are not intended to be all-inclusive. PPI reserves the right to change, add or delete responsibilities and duties as seen fit. An employee's specific job duties, priorities, and performance expectations are detailed in his/her individual performance plan.
RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES
Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements. Responsible for set ups, use and light maintenance of grinding / polishing tools, miscellaneous metal finishing equipment including hand tools and measuring instruments. Expected to requisition materials and supplies, update and familiarize self with all manuals and correctly dispose of processing materials and hazardous waste. Mask, grit blast and flame spray parts for material build up.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Aerospace related experience; military aircraft maintenance experience. 1 to 3 years of basic math for mechanical measurements experience.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and complicated written or oral instructions; Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events; obsessive attention to detail, ability to balance multiple work assignments; organized work habits; ability to work independently. Proficiency with major software programs e.g. Made to Manage (M2M), MS Office Suite. Able to read, understand and follow aircraft manuals and other directions written in the English language Ability to correctly complete paperwork in compliance with work orders and job manuals Must be able to use hand tools, micrometers, air gages, and other special tools. Ability to read manuals and have basic math for mechanical measurements. Must be able to read and understand technical documentation.

SHIFT:
Full-Time; This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
SCHEDULE
2nd Shift•The first three months will be on the day shift, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for training purposes. Upon successful completion of training, the schedule will transition to a night shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (four 10-hour shifts).

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-160) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
