Job Description

Position Summary Accurate Fabrication is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to support production operations by preparing, finishing, and inspecting fabricated metal parts prior to shipment or assembly. This role is responsible for grinding, sanding, deburring, polishing, and performing general finishing operations to ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Accurate Fabrication specializes in complete metal fabrication services including laser cutting, forming, machining, welding, and assembly. (Accurate Fabrication) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Grind, sand, deburr, polish, and finish metal parts and weldments to customer and company standards Use hand and power tools including grinders, sanders, buffers, and other finishing equipment Inspect finished products for defects, sharp edges, weld spatter, scratches, or inconsistencies Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions Maintain part quality while meeting production timelines Assist with part preparation prior to paint, weld, or assembly processes Operate material handling equipment as needed, including carts, pallet jacks, cranes, or forklifts (if trained) Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and work areas Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE Support other production departments as needed Qualifications Previous manufacturing, fabrication, grinding, or finishing experience preferred Experience using hand tools, grinders, and measuring equipment preferred Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints/work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and in a team environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during shift Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced metal fabrication manufacturing environment. Employees are expected to follow all safety policies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
