Job Description
Job Title:
Polisher Job Description As a Polisher, you will be responsible for grinding and polishing stainless steel TIG welds. You will prepare parts and products using bead blasting and surface preparation methods to meet defined appearance and quality standards. Additionally, you will operate grinders, deburring tools, and approved hand tools to remove burrs, weld spatter, oxidation, and surface imperfections. You will also load, unload, and position parts using fixtures, carts, hoists, or other material-handling aids as trained. Part of your role will include visually inspecting finished surfaces, identifying nonconforming conditions, and escalating issues through established processes. Responsibilities Grind and polish stainless steel TIG welds. Prepare parts and products using bead blasting and surface preparation methods. Operate grinders, deburring tools, and approved hand tools to remove imperfections. Load, unload, and position parts using various material-handling aids. Visually inspect finished surfaces and identify nonconforming conditions. Essential Skills Proficiency with grinders and finishers. Experience using hand and power tools. Polishing skills. 1 year of experience in grinding stainless steel welds. Knowledge of fabrication and deburring. Ability to read blueprints. Work Environment The work environment is a very clean shop with working hours from 6:30 am to 3 pm Monday through Thursday, and 6 am to Noon on Fridays. Overtime is not mandated, but employees can choose to work additional hours if they wish. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Whitewater, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00- $56160.00/yr. Really clean facility Great working hours: 6am-3pm M-TH and 6am-Noon on Fridays Stable work environment
