Responsible for implementing animal husbandry protocols to maximize animal reproduction, health, and nutrition programs.
Specific duties include:
(1) Assisting with cattle reproduction programs, including artificial insemination and heat detection; (2) Implementing calving programs, including colostrum collection, refractometer testing, storage, and newborn calf administration; (3) Monitoring animals for mastitis and performing treatments as necessary; (4) Assisting with animal health programs as directed by veterinary protocols; (5) Implementing organic animal feed protocols, including delivering feed rations to different cattle groups; (6) Performing recordkeeping on animal reproduction, health, and nutrition records.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agronomy, Food Science, or a related field. Housing available in exchange for rent. Interested candidates should submit a resume & cover letter to HR, Sparks Cedarlee Farm
