Seasonal Agriculture Tech- Orchards

The Seasonal Agriculture Tech will support the Manager, Orchard Pest Control and Manager, Horticulture and Technology, by collecting field date related to insects, plant disease and weed populations, crop assessments, and other activities related to fruit production. Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Excellent comprehension skills are required to understand labels, procedures and written reports. Must possess excellent organizational and information management skills to accurately compile and report the collected crop data information. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with employees. Previous Quality Control and / or manufacturing experience is preferred. Experience in crop, soil and water evaluation, crop nutrition or general horticulture is preferred. Good basic math skills (including percentages, fractions, and decimals) are required. A demonstrated ability to adapt to overlapping demands and interruptions is essential. Must be able to meet the physical demands of walking and standing for over 80% of the day. This is an outdoor position that requires the ability to climb hills and walk long distances over rough ground in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 30 pounds. Valid Oregon Drivers License and good driving record for travel to and from off-site storages. This is a safety sensitive position subject to initial and follows up drug testing.
