Job Description

Description:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring food safety and quality programs throughout the production process. This position works closely with production teams to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Conduct quality and food safety inspections throughout the facility. Monitor production processes to ensure product quality standards are met. Complete required documentation accurately and timely. Verify compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality programs. Communicate findings and concerns to production and management teams. Assist with investigations and corrective actions related to quality and food safety issues. Perform product evaluations, sampling, and data collection. Support regulatory, customer, and internal audits. Work cross-functionally with production, sanitation, maintenance, and management teams. Promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing, food production, or quality assurance experience preferred. Flexible schedule and willingness to work Monday through Friday varying shifts, and overtime as needed. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Effective English written and verbal communication skills. Basic tablet and data entry skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and work instructions. Strong observation and decision-making skills. Adaptability in a fast-paced production environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. Preferred Skills Knowledge of food safety principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Experience with HACCP, sanitation, or quality systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and refrigerated environments. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. $19.00 hr.
