Job Summary Join our vibrant team as an Afternoon Bistro Attendant, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. In this role, you will be the friendly face behind the counter, providing exceptional food service and ensuring a smooth operation during busy afternoon hours. Your culinary skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused attitude will contribute to a memorable experience for every visitor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a lively, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages with efficiency and care, ensuring quality standards are met consistently Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about food options, and provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, dining spaces, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations Manage food handling responsibilities such as bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper food storage practices Support quick service operations by managing order flow efficiently during peak hours while adhering to time management best practices Uphold sanitation standards through proper cleaning procedures, food safety practices, and adherence to health regulations Qualifications Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or a fast-food restaurant environment is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order processing Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Ability to work efficiently in a busy café or quick-service setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods Previous restaurant or retail experience is advantageous but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow in the food industry Be available from 5pm to 9pm including weekend availability.
