Job Description

The Shop Helper assists all personnel and managers in maintenance tasks as requested and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all Shop areas.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Ability to take direction for tasks and to learn new skills Provide assistance as needed to all Shop personnel and management Be able to prep vehicles and equipment for painting, including sanding and doing work requiring the use of a respirator or mask Be able to remove wheels and parts on trailers and trucks Must maintain Shop cleanliness in all areas, including areas only accessible by ladder or lift Be able to use computer systems to research and order parts as directed and communicate with vendors Must be able to drive to pick-up or deliver parts as needed All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have some knowledge of Shop equipment and tools Must be computer proficient Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance Must be able to climb a ladder and work at a variety of heights Excellent computer proficiency Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
