Experienced Commercial Vehicle Wrap Installer LA Auto Wraps is hiring an experienced Commercial Vehicle Wrap Installer to join our growing production team in Gardena, California. We are looking for a skilled, dependable installer who takes pride in clean finishes and knows how to wrap commercial vehicles efficiently and correctly. Our projects include food trucks, box trucks, vans, trailers, fleet vehicles, experiential marketing vehicles, storefronts, walls, and custom fabricated displays. This is not an entry-level position. The right candidate should be able to complete installations with minimal supervision and consistently produce professional-quality work. Compensation $30-$40 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability Full-time position Overtime opportunities may be available Opportunities for advancement as our wrap and production operation grows What You'll Work On Full and partial commercial vehicle wraps Box trucks, food trucks, vans, trailers, SUVs, and fleet vehicles Printed and color-change vinyl Spot graphics, lettering, decals, and DOT numbers Storefront windows, walls, floors, signs, and other architectural surfaces Specialty experiential vehicles and custom branded displays Removal of existing vinyl and proper surface preparation Responsibilities Inspect vehicles and installation surfaces before beginning work Properly clean, prep, disassemble, and reassemble vehicles as needed Install large-format printed vinyl with accurate panel alignment Wrap compound curves, bumpers, mirrors, rivets, corrugations, and challenging surfaces Properly trim, tuck, post-heat, seal, and finish all installations Identify and correct bubbles, wrinkles, lifting edges, overstretched vinyl, and alignment issues Maintain clean and organized tools and work areas Protect customer vehicles and company property throughout each installation Communicate material problems, production issues, or project delays promptly Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality Assist with occasional on-site installations and out-of-town projects when needed Required Qualifications At least two years of professional vehicle-wrap installation experience Demonstrated experience completing full vehicle wraps Strong knowledge of surface preparation, material handling, post-heating, trimming, and finishing Experience working with commercial vehicles, riveted box trucks, vans, trailers, or fleet graphics Ability to install large printed panels accurately and consistently Ability to work independently and as part of a production team Reliable attendance and dependable transportation Strong attention to detail and respect for deadlines Valid driver's license Ability to safely use ladders, installation tools, heat guns, and related equipment Ability to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation when applicable Preferred Qualifications Experience with 3M, Avery Dennison, Arlon, and General Formulations vinyl 3M or Avery Dennison certification Experience installing graphics over rivets and corrugated surfaces Experience with wall wraps, window graphics, floor graphics, and dimensional signage Experience removing and reinstalling basic vehicle components Experience leading or training other installers Bilingual English and Spanish is helpful but not required What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a true craftsperson who cares about the details. You should know when vinyl has been overstretched, understand proper post-heating, produce clean seams and edges, and recognize that a wrap is not complete until it has been thoroughly inspected.
