Custom Woodworking Company | Experienced Only We are a high-end custom woodworking company specializing in one-of-a-kind, beautifully crafted furniture and cabinetry. We are looking for an experienced furniture finisher/stainer to join our team on a project-based or part-time basis, with the potential for ongoing work. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and extensive experience staining and finishing high-end custom wood furniture. Our pieces require a high level of precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Staining and finishing custom wood furniture Matching and developing stain colors Preparing wood surfaces for finishing Applying stains, oils, lacquers, and other finishes Achieving consistent color and finish across individual pieces Sanding and preparing surfaces between coats Maintaining a clean, organized finishing area Inspecting finished pieces for quality and making necessary adjustments

Requirements:

Prior professional experience finishing high-end custom furniture is required Strong knowledge of different wood species and how they accept stain Experience with stain matching and custom color development Excellent attention to detail Ability to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish Knowledge of various finishing products and application techniques Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Must take pride in craftsmanship and quality This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced craftsman who understands the level of detail required for high-end custom furniture.

Compensation:

Pay will be based on experience and skill level. Please include your desired hourly or project-based rate when responding.
