Van Build Assistant Duties:
Assist other builders in various stages of custom van building, including interior installations, electrical work, carpentry, and mechanical tasks. Aid in the preparation and assembly of materials and components required for custom van projects, ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are readily available. Painting and prepping materials for the builds. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Perform general shop duties, such as equipment maintenance, cleaning, and basic repairs, to uphold a safe and efficient working environment. Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate smooth workflow and efficient project completion.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification is a plus. Previous experience in a similar role within an automotive or construction environment is preferred. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as a willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to custom van building. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work setting. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects, as well physical stamina to stand for long periods of time. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for creating exceptional custom vans.
