Job Description

Gallery Associate Westport Auction — Westport, CT Full-time | $20•25 per hour, based on experience Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Westport Auction is hiring a Gallery Associate to move, organize, and present furniture, lighting, artwork, and other inventory. This is a hands-on gallery-floor role. You will also be one of the first people clients see, so professionalism matters as much as strength and attention to detail.

$20•25 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00
PM Overtime:
Time and a half Responsibilities Move furniture and objects throughout the gallery and warehouse, including couches, sideboards, dressers, secretaries, lighting, artwork, and delicate items. Strength and care are both required. Place inventory on and off the photo set to assist the photographer. Keep the gallery floor organized by auction and follow direction from management. Know and recall where inventory is located. Location memory is a core part of the job.
Light cleaning as needed:
dusting furniture, mopping, vacuuming, and bathrooms. Interact with clients in a professional, courteous way. Qualifications Ability to lift and move furniture and other items safely and carefully Strong awareness around fragile pieces, artwork, and lighting Reliable memory for where items are stored Ability to follow directions and keep the floor organized Professional presence with clients and visitors Dependable weekday availability Prior warehouse, moving, gallery, or auction experience is a plus but not required. Benefits $20•25/hour to start, based on experience Overtime paid at time and a half Major holidays are paid days off 40 hours PTO 40 hours sick time Raises based on performance Room to grow for someone who wants more responsibility
