Project Manager / Operations Manager About the Role PROVEN Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Team Lead - Commercial Moving & FF&E to lead onsite crews supporting commercial relocations, office furniture installation, FF&E, and related logistics projects throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This is a hands-on field leadership position. The Project Team Lead serves as the Project Manager's primary field leader and is responsible for turning the project plan into successful daily execution. You will lead Movers, Installers, Drivers, and other assigned field personnel while remaining willing and able to perform the work alongside your team when needed. We are looking for someone who leads from the front. You should be comfortable being the first field leader onsite, organizing the crew, reading the plans, solving problems, maintaining productivity, and stepping into the work when necessary to keep the project moving. What You Will Do Serve as the onsite field leader for assigned commercial moving and FF&E projects. Arrive before the assigned crew when required to confirm jobsite readiness, access, equipment, materials, and daily requirements. Review project scope, floor plans, furniture plans, blueprints, schedules, sequencing, and daily work requirements. Conduct crew briefings and clearly communicate daily assignments, safety requirements, client expectations, and production goals. Direct Movers, Installers, Drivers, and other assigned field personnel. Maintain accountability for crew attendance, punctuality, productivity, workmanship, safety, and professional conduct. Coordinate packing, labeling, loading, unloading, staging, relocation, furniture assembly/disassembly, installation, placement, and punch-list activities. Personally assist with moving, installation, loading, unloading, furniture handling, and other field activities when operationally necessary. Respond to call-outs, employee walk-offs, staffing shortages, and changing field conditions by reorganizing resources and stepping into the work when necessary to maintain project execution. Monitor project progress throughout the shift and promptly communicate staffing, schedule, quality, safety, access, or client concerns to the Project Manager. Protect client property, furniture, equipment, floors, walls, elevators, doors, and other building finishes. Ensure required equipment, tools, dollies, carts, blankets, crates, bins, straps, protection materials, and supplies are available and properly accounted for. Identify and correct field quality deficiencies before they become client issues. Train and coach field employees on proper moving, furniture installation, safety, and PROVEN procedures. Document project progress, incidents, damages, delays, staffing issues, equipment concerns, and work remaining. Provide the Project Manager with an accurate end-of-shift status and requirements for the next workday. Maintain professional communication with clients, building management, vendors, subcontractors, and PROVEN personnel. Blueprint & Plan Reading - Required The ability to read and interpret project drawings is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Candidates must be able to read and understand: Commercial floor plans and blueprints Space plans Furniture installation plans Elevations Furniture symbols and specifications The Team Lead must be able to translate plans into clear field direction and verify that furniture, equipment, and other assets are installed or placed in the correct locations. Work Schedule PROVEN's normal project operations occur between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. A standard workday is generally a nine-hour scheduled shift consisting of eight working hours and a one-hour unpaid meal break. Start and end times vary based on project requirements. Candidates must be able to reliably report for a 6:00 AM start when assigned. Because this is a field leadership position, the Team Lead may be required to arrive before the assigned crew to prepare for the day's work and ensure the jobsite is ready for operations. Required Qualifications 5+ years of commercial moving, office furniture installation, FF&E installation, logistics, or directly related field experience. Demonstrated experience leading commercial moving, furniture installation, or similar field crews. Hands-on experience performing the work being supervised. Ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, floor plans, space plans, furniture plans, and elevations. Knowledge of commercial moving equipment, furniture handling, packing, protection, loading/unloading, staging, and installation practices. Ability and willingness to step into field work when necessary. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage employees and maintain productivity in a fast-paced field environment. Ability to communicate professionally with clients and project stakeholders. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, mobile applications, electronic forms, and photographic documentation. Ability to reliably work assigned shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is required. Background & Site-Access Requirements Candidates must be able to successfully complete an extensive pre-employment background screening and satisfy applicable client and government site-access requirements. PROVEN supports projects in secure commercial and government environments. Continued eligibility to access assigned project locations is an essential requirement of the position. Physical Requirements This is a working field-lead position, not a desk-based supervisory role. Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with commercial moving and furniture installation, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and working in active commercial environments, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. Pay:

$60,642.27 - $73,031.55 per year
