Matter Brothers Furniture in Tarpon Springs, FL, a Top 100, family-owned and -operated company serving Florida's West Coast, has an opportunity for you to join one of the most successful furniture showrooms in America. We are seeking a dynamic Visual Assistant to join our team! The Visual Assistant is a supporting role within our merchandising team that, with attention to detail, focuses on product display, planning, and the ability to execute requirements efficiently. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for ensuring all settings are properly paired and placed based on provided floor plan guidelines — ensuring displays are accessorized appropriately, welcoming, and on-trend to meet the high expectations of our customers. Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with Company Match Generous PTO Employee Recognition Associate Discount Program What you will do… Assist with moving and arranging product on the showroom floor Assist with building maintenance, including painting walls/buildouts and visual installations such as hanging lighting, art, and mirrors Maintain textiles by dressing beds, steaming when needed, and keeping backstock flowing to the floor Ensure the showroom is safe; keep aisles and pathways clear of tripping hazards by ensuring rugs and cords are neat and organized Help the team maintain an organized warehouse, including breaking down shipments, printing tags, and processing all product to be "showroom ready"
Qualifications:
Creative and detail-oriented; able to set up lifestyle settings while upholding the company's standards Excellent communication skills and ability to visualize new possibilities to build the best flow for our ever-changing lineups Minimum of six months to one year of related experience and/or training preferred Prior experience working with a furniture and design team a plus; a love for home design is a bonus Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and operating a scissor lift preferred Ability to climb ladders up to 10 ft and remain on your feet for extended periods is required Ability to lift at least 75 lbs while moving furniture, rugs, and other bulk items (must be able to bend, twist, and kneel) Knowledge of inventory software and experience with Outlook and MS Office (Word and Excel); Storis, Sales Force experience a plus!
