Job Description
Devlin Rod And Customs is looking for an experienced hot rod technician and fabricator. Our shop has been in business for over 21 years and has won multiple awards including the prestigious AMBR and GoodGuys Street Rod of the Year. The work required by our techs ranges from the tear down of the builds all the way through final assembly. In between you will be required to not only build the vehicle as project manager but also communicate with management to obtain parts, assess and advise on additional problems during the build, and document the entire process through daily time sheets and photographs. You may also be required to handle multiple projects at a time all while keeping a high attention to detail related to all aspects of each build. Two plus years of experience in a hot rod shop or similar environment. Must have sheet metal shaping abilities and knowledge of shaping equipment. Proficient in MIG welding and preferably TIG welding. Be able to provide your own tools and toolbox for basic day-to-day work and repairs. Strong understanding of powertrain systems and automotive electrical systems a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Must be able to work delicately around finished products. This applies not only to final assembly of full builds but also to finished vehicles under service. Customer service skills are a plus as you will not only be required to communicate with management but also communicate technical information clearly to clients when necessary. Detail oriented with strong problem solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.
