Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an Junior Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in woodworking and a desire to learn. This role involves assisting skilled woodworkers in building furniture and building basic pieces while learning the craft. Responsibilities Basic woodworking Assist other woodworkers with their furniture pieces. Unloading lumber deliveries and storing it in its proper place in the shop Trips to the store for materials and tools as needed Receiving training on how to build wooden furniture Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols. Qualifications Basic understanding in using hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment. Willingness to learn and a "can-do" attitude Previous experience on construction sites is preferred; maintenance person experience is beneficial. Ability to lift heavy materials safely Trajectory A successful candidate will have opportunities to add skills and take on more complex projects within a year.
