Job Title:
Millwork Installer Job Description This role involves traveling to grocery store locations across New England to install finished millwork on a first-shift schedule. You will work as part of a small, hands-on team that completes high-quality installations at customer sites, sometimes requiring same-day out-of-state travel. This role will focus on carpentry related tasks and will be paying $25 - $27. You will be required to drive to the shop in Saco each evening for the job. Responsibilities Install finished millwork and related components at grocery store locations across New England according to project specifications and timelines. Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate placement and installation of millwork. Use a variety of power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks. Measure, cut, fit, and secure millwork components to achieve a precise and professional finish. Inspect completed installations to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements. Travel to job sites, including occasional out-of-state locations, and maintain punctual attendance for first-shift work. Follow all site safety procedures and company safety standards while working on active job sites. Communicate with team members and site contacts to coordinate work, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition. Document work as required, including reporting any issues, delays, or material needs to the appropriate contact. Essential Skills Hands-on construction or carpentry experience with a focus on installation work. Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings. Proficiency with power tools and hand tools used for millwork and general construction. Strong installation skills, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing millwork components. Comfort with regular travel to various job sites across New England, including occasional out-of-state day trips. Valid and active driver's license. Ability to work reliably on a first-shift schedule. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively as part of a team on active job sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications No degree is required for this position. Previous experience installing millwork, casework, or similar fixtures in commercial environments is beneficial. Experience working in grocery stores, retail, or other occupied commercial spaces is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills to address on-site installation challenges. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and site contacts. Reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to travel regularly for work. Why Work Here? The atmosphere is practical and hands-on, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork while completing installations in operational retail settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Orchard Beach, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
