KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary:
+ Perform assigned fabrication and assembly tasks on a production line, including glass handling (annealed and tempered), under the direction of senior technicians or shop leadership. + Operate basic fabrication tools, and equipment related to the fabrication of windows and doors with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. + Read and interpret basic job specifications and fabrication instructions to determine material requirements and assemble Glo products accurately under the direction of senior technicians or shop leadership. + Follow Glo's standard operating procedures and fabrication schedule to meet project deadlines while minimizing production errors and defects. + Perform basic inspection of finished products for quality, locating and addressing flaws before packaging and shipping. + Package, crate, and prepare completed units for shipping; attach labels and load products into trailers, shipping containers, or flatbed trailers as needed.
Equipment & Maintenance:
+ Inspect, adjust, and maintain basic production equipment; follow equipment maintenance programs to avoid downtime. + Keep accurate records of equipment, and maintenance performed.
Material Handling & Inventory:
+ Assist with receiving inbound shipments, matching bills of lading and packing slips to ensure inventory is received in full and undamaged. + Assist in unloading, receiving, and storage of raw materials and supplies. + Maintain inventory of materials and finished products.
Safety & Compliance:
+ Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and PPE requirements. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Other Duties:
+ Engage in general shop maintenance and improvement projects as directed by the Fabrication Manager. + Travel and assist with field installations and service calls as business needs dictate. Complete all work as required to meet production goals and schedule requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS + A
high school education with a strong mechanical aptitude and/or ambition of building a career in fabrication required. Experience in a fabrication setting or equivalent technical education preferred but not required. + Basic understanding of technology and computer competency. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. + An approach to work that values problem solving. + Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials (50+ pounds) and stand for long periods of time. + Ability to understand technical drawings a plus.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
