In this role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and refurbishing a wide variety of furniture pieces, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help breathe new life into furniture items, whether they are vintage, damaged, or in need of custom reupholstering. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in woodworking, upholstery, and furniture manufacturing to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Responsibilities Assess furniture items to determine repair needs by interpreting technical drawings and blueprint specifications. Perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and sewing machines to restore furniture to its original condition or enhance its appearance. Reupholster furniture by applying upholstery techniques, including fabric cutting, sewing, and fabric material handling. Conduct manual handling and heavy lifting safely when moving or repositioning furniture pieces during repair processes. Use woodworking skills to repair or replace damaged wood components and ensure structural integrity. Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions to execute precise repairs and modifications. Maintain detailed records of repair procedures, materials used, and quality checks to ensure consistency and accountability. Requirements Proven experience in upholstery repair, woodworking, auto restoration or related manufacturing fields. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, sewing machines, and manual cutting equipment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprint specifications accurately. Knowledge of fabric materials, leather upholstery techniques, and fabric materials handling. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during furniture handling tasks. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing instructions for precise repairs. Excellent manual dexterity combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and quality assurance.
